HiETA employs around thirty-five expert engineers, a high proportion of which are qualified to Ph.D. or Masters level and are Chartered or Fellows. In addition, we offer great development opportunities for engineers of the future. We currently have two apprentices and four year-in-industry students. On the commercial side, we have two MBA qualified staff members and one Chartered Accountant. Moreover, we have many years of practical engineering and commercial experience, from a range of industries, that belies the relatively short history of HiETA as a company.
HiETA’s experience comes from industries such as sustainable power, automotive, aerospace and defence, product design and manufacturing with companies such as Rolls-Royce, Airbus, and Delphi Diesel Systems. Particular skills include mathematical modelling, detailed engineering design, computational fluid dynamics, finite element analysis, topology optimisation, multi-disciplinary optimisation, multi-objective optimisation, manufacturing engineering, materials engineering, test engineering, non-destructive evaluation and IT & systems.

Our staff are supported at all levels with their professional and personal development. Examples include technical staff pursuing engineering Masters degrees and one member of staff being provided with a one-month sabbatical to race in the Rona 2 Transatlantic race –
