Finance Administrator

Due to continued expansion HiETA are looking for an experienced Finance Administrator.  This role is key in ensuring the company is able to meet its business objectives.  As part of a small Finance and Operations team you will be responsible for all aspects of finance operations processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Bookkeeping, including management of purchase ledger, sales ledger and general ledger; processing purchase orders, purchase invoices, quotes and sales invoices;
  • Cash management, including reconciliations and short- and medium-term forecasting;
  • Assisting with the preparation of management accounts, including analysis, writing journals and processing accruals and prepayments; and
  • Supporting financial reporting for projects, payroll processing and HMRC returns
  • Supporting the wider business with ad hoc financial and operational requests as part of the Business Operations function

This role is earmarked for development into a potential future Financial Controller position and will also have significant input into the implementation of an ERP system in 2018, providing the opportunity to influence process design and development focusing on maximising business efficiency.

Systems Engineer

Due to expansion, we are looking for a new member of the team to create software that will help support the exponential growth of the company over the coming years.

Because of the small size of the team and varied work HiETA undertakes this will be a diverse role and you will be exposed to a number of different technologies.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting and developing our in-house Production Management System built using the Django framework
  • Creating C# software to support our testing activities
  • Creating software to analyse machine data
  • Supporting the development of our Systems Apprentices

About You
To be considered for the role you should have the following:

  • You will have experience of creating software in a work environment
  • Ideally educated to degree level – however we’re more interested in your ability to do the job than certificates you’ve got
  • Have a desire to develop into a DevOps engineer
  • You will be flexible, hard-working and be a self-starter
  • You will possess a ‘can do’ attitude and be able to apply your enthusiasm to all activities

Project Engineer

Due to continued expansion HiETA are looking for a Project Engineer.  This role is key in ensuring the company is able to meet its business objectives.  As part of the team you will be point of contact for clients/partners, your main responsibility will be to ensure that projects are delivered on time, cost and quality.  With developed engineering project management, you will work with the team to follow the product lifecycle from conception to completion.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Project negotiation, technical support for contracting and set-up
  • Requirements definition and approval for project work packages meeting customer requirements
  • Project execution and control management of technical risks
  • Technical collaboration with partners and suppliers
  • Support for the design team

About You
To be considered for the role you should have the following:

  • Degree educated within an engineering discipline
  • Ability to solve problems working from first principles
  • Engineering systems integration, product and concept testing
  • Some experience of industrial engineering project management

Design Engineer

Due to continued expansion HiETA are looking for a Design Engineer.  This role is key in ensuring the company is able to meet its business objectives.  As part of the team you will be involved in various aspects of the design process and delivery of the technical content into projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivery of assigned work packages within both commercial and R&D projects
  • Capturing knowledge in your assigned technical area
  • Concept development and evaluation

Analysis Engineer

Due to continued expansion HiETA are looking for an Analysis Engineer.  This role is key in ensuring the company is able to meet its business objectives.  As part of the team your main responsibility will be to ensure that projects are supports with robust analysis capabilities.  With developed skills using analysis tools you will work with the team to follow the product lifecycle from conception to completion.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Analysis of fluid dynamics, heat transfer and structure
  • Optimisation of components and passages for fluid flow and structural integrity
  • Concept development and evaluation
  • Cross-validation of analysis with test and empirical data, and associated knowledge capture

About You
To be considered for the role you should have the following:

  • Degree educated within an engineering discipline
  • Ability to solve problems working from first principles
  • Experience of using CFD and FEA tools, preferably including optimization and multi-phase heat exchange
  • Some experience within an engineering environment preferably in a similar role
  • Ability to work autonomously and think critically whilst carrying out analysist tasks, and integrate with design changes where required

Test Engineer

Due to continued expansion HiETA are looking for a Test Engineer.  This role is key in ensuring the company is able to meet its business objectives.  As part of a small test team you will be responsible for the design, commissioning and documentation of developmental and production testing facilities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • SolidWorks design of testing and production equipment such as, but not exclusive to:
    • Pressure drop test rigs
    • Heat transfer test rigs
    • Component post-processing jigs and fixtures
    • Leak testing jigs and fixtures
  • SolidWorks design of test components
  • Electrical design of testing and production data acquisition systems
  • Relevant 2D diagram development for electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Commissioning of testing and production equipment
  • Documentation of new production processes

About You
To be considered for the role you should have the following:

  • Experience in machine design
  • A good understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • An understanding of pressure, temperature and flow measurement systems
  • An engineering degree or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience
  • A full UK driving license
  • Experience in 3D and 2D CAD design
  • Experience sourcing components from sub-contractors

AM Applications Engineer

Due to continued expansion HiETA are looking for a Applications Engineer.  This role is key in ensuring the company is able to meet its business objectives.  As part of a small applications team you will be involved in various aspects of the AM production process.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Design for AM, troubleshooting and liaison with design engineers
  • Layout, setup and support structure design for AM build runs
  • Process parameter development
  • Materials development
  • Liaison with post process sub-contractors
  • Monitoring of production process and troubleshooting production issues
  • Engaging with current and prospective HiETA clients to understand their requirements and assess and advise on their suitability
  • Evaluation and costing for new business opportunities

About You
To be considered for the role you should have the following:

  • Degree in relevant engineering, manufacturing or design discipline
  • A background using 3D CAD tools
  • An appreciation of material and processes

Manufacturing & Operations Engineer

Due to continued expansion HiETA are looking for an experienced Manufacturing & Operations Engineer.  This role is key in ensuring the company is able to meet its business objectives.  As a Manufacturing & Operations Engineer your role will be to assist the team in optimising its existing capability and help design and implement a new facility and supply chain. Technically astute and flexible, you must be capable of working with an emerging, fast paced technology and supply base. Your main responsibility will be to ensure that our product can be delivered on time, to quality and cost expectation of our customers. You will need to be able to develop an operational design from first principles and you will need to both contribute and lead work with your colleagues following the project lifecycle from conception to completion.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Technical delivery, optimisation and knowledge capture of Additive Manufacturing capability
  • Provide production team with engineering support
  • Continuous improvement of HiETA existing machines and processes
  • Support the manufacturing team with activities around future facilities and production cells

This role is earmarked for development alongside HiETA’s continued growth transitioning into the implementation of new AM production cells providing HiETA and its clients with cutting edge AM facilities.

About You
To be considered for the role you should have the following:

  • Minimum 2-5 years relevant operations engineering experience
  • Ability to solve problems and work from first principles
  • Have excellent practical ability and approaches to problem solving
  • Coordinate contribution from technical specialists
  • Manufacturing systems integration, product, process optimisation and concept testing
  • Industrial development project experience
  • Have working knowledge of lean manufacturing methodologies and six sigma quality practices

AM Technician

Due to expansion of the technical team we are currently seeking applications from talented engineering professionals to apply for the role of AM Technician.

The role reports directly to the Engineering Manager for whom you will work collaboratively on a number of key projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Achieving delivery of HiETA products on time and to specification
  • Identifying areas for process improvement and optimisation
  • Demonstrate an understanding to follow procedures in order to maintain high standards and health and safety
  • Good manual dexterity and practical hands on skills, use of hand tools to perform some part finishing operations
  • Capability to handle physical and manual elements of the role

About You

  • Experience in an accredited manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of working within an ISO 09001 documentation structure
